Privacy Policy

We collect information to make the Service work for you and improve it over time.

• Information You Provide — When you sign up or sign in: email address, and a password if you choose email + password access (magic-link email is also available; we do not use Google sign-in). Profile details such as name, slug, location, about text, headshot images, and optional social links (Instagram, TikTok, IMDb, Instagram Reel, YouTube). Messages you send us by email or through report/contact forms.
• Information We Collect Automatically — IP address, browser type, device info, pages you visit, cookies and similar tools, and a general location guess from IP when permitted.
• Information from Others — Anonymous visitor clicks and views on your public folio for basic analytics when your page is published.

We use your info to run and enhance the Service: create and secure your account (including sending magic-link emails and storing a password hash if you create one), host and display your folio when you publish it, analyze usage, send service or SMS updates you opted into, and keep the Service safe. We do not use your data to run a live paid subscription or casting-call payment flow, because those features are not available yet.

We don’t sell your personal info. We may share it with trusted companies that help us run the Service (for example hosting, email delivery, or analytics), when you make a folio public (visitors see the content you published), if the law requires it, or if we are part of a merger (we’ll let you know first).

We use cookies to keep you signed in, track usage for analytics, and keep the Service reliable. Blocking cookies in your browser might limit some features such as staying signed in.

We hold onto your info only as long as needed while your account is active, to follow legal or tax rules, or in anonymized form for analytics after you close your account.

We use encryption and other safeguards to protect your data, but no system is perfect. We’ll notify you if there’s a breach that affects you, as required by law.

If you opt in to SMS or WhatsApp notifications, we process your phone number to send those messages. You can opt out by replying STOP as described in the Terms. Message frequency and carrier rates are described there.

Under laws like the Information Technology Act and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can see, fix, delete, or export your info, and opt out of marketing. Email contact@headshot.social, and we’ll reply within 30 days or as the law allows.

Under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (if you’re in California), you can know what we’ve collected, correct it, request deletion, get a copy, and opt out of marketing. Email contact@headshot.social; we’ll respond within 45 days.

We’re based in India, and your info might be processed outside your country. We use protections (like Standard Contractual Clauses) to keep it safe when it moves.

The Service isn’t for kids under 13 (or 16 in some places). We don’t collect their info on purpose. Tell us at contact@headshot.social if you think we’ve got kid data.

We may update this policy as the Service grows. We’ll post the new version here with the “Last Updated” date and let you know about big changes by email or on the Service.
